At Bohedal we are all about producing fun, approachable wines that can be enjoyed at any moment, in any company. We’ll never be the biggest winery in the world; but nor would we want to be. We believe strongly in the quality of our wines, our lands and our skill at getting the very best out every one of our grapes.
We were up in 1917, when Don José Bezares “El abuelo Pepe” inherits some of the vineyards that supply us. Three generations later we are continuing in the same vein as our ancestor; enjoying wine and enjoying life to the full.
We are situated in Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón on the westerly extreme of D.O.Ca Rioja. We produce roughly 120.000 bottles of red, rosé and white wine from 40-120 year old Tempranillo, Viura, Graciano and Garnacha vines.
Every bottle we produce is lovingly crafted mixing ancient tradition and the latest modern winemaking advances.
We make a small range of fruity, attractive wines, nine in total: Two whites, one rosé and six reds:
Bohedal: Red, Rosé and white
Gran Bohedal: White fermented in Barrel, Crianza, and Reserva
Hebabe: 100% Graciano, 100% Tempranillo, 100% Garnacha
We believe these nine wines sum up what are all about; well-made, drinkable wines and the art of enjoying them!
